1. Estée Lauder | Double Wear Foundation in ‘cool bone’
I have been using this foundation for about 6 months now. I was colour matched at an Estée Lauder counter in Boots and advised I was shade Cool Bone (1C1), personally I think this shade oxidises slightly darker on the skin. Double Wear Claims to stay in place for up to 15 hours, be non transferable and look natural. This foundation definately has staying power – It doesn’t move around my face like I’ve experienced with some foundation and It’s ‘hug proof’ I haven’t ever had a problem with it transferring onto my children, clothes or anyone else’s, luckily! If applied correctly this foundation blends well onto my skin with a damp beauty blender.
Overall I’ve really liked this foundation – I wouldn’t recommend wearing it constantly, it is a full coverage and I like to let my skin breath. I’ve managed to keep mine fairly tidy considering it doesn’t come with a pump. This is a great full coverage foundation. In my opinion I don’t think it would suit people with dry skin.
2. MAC Bronzing Powder | Matte Bronze
I have been using this bronzing powder for ever, this one obviously hasn’t lasted me forever – I have repurchased this A LOT. MAC has been my favourite bronzer for ages, it blends like a dream, it’s Matte so no shimmer at all and best of all it does tend to last a really Long time. The pigment is good so you don’t need to overload your brush. I cannot fault this bronzer and I’m always sad every time I see the pan!
3. L’oreal Paris Super Liner Eyeliner Gelmatic | Ultra Black
I’m always In the market for a new eye liner to create the perfect wing, I’ve tried lots of eye liners good and bad but none of them have ever become a staple. This L’oreal one has a really good nib and you can be precise with it but unfortunately I found the formula slightly too dry – I never really had that moment when I realised it ran out because the formulation has been dry from brand new – any recommendations for a good black eye liner would be appreciated 🙂
4. Batiste Dry Shampoo | Bright & Lively Floral
who doesn’t love a dry shampoo? I reach for this bad boy daily. Batiste cater for everyone with Colour, Care, volume or Fragrance options – there is just so many to choose from. Just Shake and spray to refresh hair between washes or even to add texture for styling. I love Batiste dry shampoos and no other brand has matched them yet on affordability or result for me. This one ticks all the boxes.
5. Maybelline Age Rewind Eye Concealer | Shade Light
After seeing rave reviews for this little concealer I jumped on the band wagon and headed to my local boots, claiming to leave you with a perfected and concealed under eye area even if you suffer from a hectic social life or lack of sleep. Lack of sleep….yes please, having two young children I am this products target market, right? I’ve tried this concealer for a fair while as you can probably see it’s basically all gone, you twist the product and it is dispensed onto the sponge applicator and then you directly apply to the under eye area. I get the soft applicator because it’s for delicate under eye area but it’s probably not the most hygienic for daily use. I got the concealer in the lightest shade – unfortunately for me it isn’t really light enough but I am fairly pale (Thanks Dad). It’s a thin blend-able formula that won’t tug around the eye area when applying. Personally because of not being able to get an even lighter shade in this concealer it just isn’t for me.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog, Any feedback or recommendations is always welcome 🙂
