This is the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm – a balanced daily cleanser for a deep pore clean, moisturises and claims to calm all skin types, while removing all traces of make up!
I decided to give this cleansing balm ago after i started to suffer from painful, oily breakouts – now you may be wondering why the hell I’d start covering my skin in such a rich oily balm when my skin was looking like what I can only describe as a greasy oiled strippers chest.
I had been using products that contained witch hazel, tea tree and charcoal to try and tackle the problem of oily skin which I’d never experienced on myself before, what I ended up doing was in fact stripping my skin and dehydrating it, this caused the glands which produce sebum on my face to go crazy and as you can imagine my skin got A LOT worse!
The cleansing balm comes housed in a gold box, the product is packaged within a heavy plastic pot with a gold lid which gives a real luxury feel and also inside is a face cloth (this is double sided, one smooth side and one exfoliating side). The balm breaks down make up really well and is safe to use on and around the eye area without any unpleasant stinging! I love the fresh, citrus herbal smell of the product, it’s a gentle scent and smells natural. Some of the ingredients are moringa seed extract, Wild Sea Fennel and Vitamin E, which claim to balance and purify the skin and as a result minimise the appearance of pores. The Grape seed oil and sweet almond oils richness in fatty acids should leave your skin feeling soft and plump
This Cleansing Balm can also double up as hydrating mask if applied and left on the skin for ten minutes. The balm isn’t cheap and is £38 a pot but tends to last between 4 – 5 months if used correctly.
So did it live up to the hype?……….
In a nutshell I love this product and really enjoy using it everyday, Emma Hardie has lived up to her claims – my skins overall appearance has improved massively, my pores are less visible and breakouts less frequent. It’s a great product and would work for dry or oily skin. The rich consistency and smell leaves my face feeling really clean and gives me a sense of satisfaction to know I’m removing all the dirt and make up at the end of each day. Would I repurchase? I’m already onto my second pot 🙂
